Persephone is a microbiome science company making daily synbiotics for infants and toddlers. Co-founded by CEO Stephanie Culler, PhD, a microbiome scientist of more than a decade, the company grew out of its My Baby Biome study, the largest U.S. study of the infant gut microbiome. That research found that 9 out of 10 American babies lack healthy levels of key Bifidobacterium.

Persephone's first-of-its-kind formula pairs four keystone probiotic strains with a prebiotic blend modeled on those found in breast milk. The formula is designed to help restore those missing microbes and support digestion, immune development, and sleep during the most critical early years. Its clinical trial, published in Pediatric Research, showed the strains successfully colonize and persist in the infant gut. Every batch is third-party tested and Clean Label Project certified.
